ABOUT THE HADESTOWN EDUCATION INTIATIVE
The HADESTOWN EDUCATION INITIATIVE was created to provide access to HADESTOWN performances by offering subsidized tickets to under-resourced communities as well as accompanying curricular material.
Curricular connections are abundant in HADESTOWN, whether it is through ancient Greek mythology, the relationship of literary themes with contemporary issues including climate change, or theatrical craft. Explore the world of HADESTOWN online and in the words of Anaïs Mitchell, “see how the world could be” through the power of theater, music and storytelling.
The HADESTOWN EDUCATION INITIATIVE was launched in January 2020 and has served thousands of students on Broadway, regionally through the national tour, and worldwide through our online portal. The Initiative expanded to include relaxed performances to support many more access points to the power of live performance.
